MASSAGES AT RENEE'S
We offer the following types of massage:
Japanese Facial Massage: The Japanese facial massage is a
three-step treatment consisting of cleansing, moisturizing, and energizing
techniques. This will stimulate muscles, tissue, and oil glands just
beneath the skin, improving blood flow to the skin's surface. Japanese
facial massage is a refined facial therapy system which is a powerful means of
preventing and treating age spots and wrinkles.
Sports Massage: This massage is tailored to meet your
specific sports needs. During the season, you may be focusing on
increasing flexibility or have muscle spasms that need to be worked out.
We also do a pre- and post-event massage to get your body ready before an event
and to soothe and renew it afterwards.
Maternity Massage: Massage during pregnancy is a great
way to relieve everyday tension and the general aches and pains that your body
is experiencing. Depending on the trimester you are in, a variety of
massage techniques are used, such as Swedish, Reflexology or light pressure
point work.
Chair Massage: During a seated massage, you are clothed
and in an upright position utilizing a special chair. Techniques include
Swedish, accupressure and deep tissue massage. This is a very convenient
method of alleviating stress in a short period of time.

What to expect during a Therapeutic Massage:
Upon entrance into the facility, you will be greeted by our friendly staff,
and asked to fill out a brief client questionnaire, which includes questions
about your medical history. Upon completion of the form, you will be
escorted to a quiet, warm, private massage room. You will be left alone to undress, except for undergarments. After you are
comfortably laying on the massage table (made with fresh, clean linens), the
massotherapist will enter the room, providing you with an overview of your
massage experience. Our massages are only conducted by trained, licensed
massotherapy professionals.
A variety of massage techniques are employed to provide the client with the
desired result. Some of these techniques include include basic kneading
strokes, rocking movements, posture and movement reeducation, application of
pressure to specific points, etc. Many of these techniques have specific
names, such as Swedish
Massage, Deep Tissue massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and others.
Our therapists employ a variety of techniques within our client's
massage experience to obtain the desired result.
You are in control at all times, and may ask the therapist to
use less or more pressure for your level of comfort. The massotherapist may
ask you what oils you may want used, and whether you have any questions or
hesitations about the experience.
Our goal is to provide you with a relaxing, soothing experience where you can
forget about the stresses in your life.
The use of Hot Stones in massage:
Hot stones are often used to provide a warm method of delivering a
massage. Some believe certain hot stones to have special healing
